Letter from the Visionary of W.O.V.E.N.

I am here as an advocate for a dying race, this race is on a verge of extinction, but I have been sent on their behalf to inform the masses of their plight, in hopes that they may accept the call and unite with us, before we are totally annihilated. Who is this race?

We call ourselves Women of Virtue.

In the book of Proverbs there is a picture painted for us of a virtuous woman. The description of a virtuous woman, especially in relation to a wife and one who cultivates her family, was the picture of Lamuel's mother. It was also instructions for her daughters on what wives they should become, and to her son what wife he should choose. She must be modest, diligent, dutiful to her husband, careful of her family, discreet in her discourse and in the education of her children, and above all conscientious in her duty to God.

A virtuous woman is a woman of spirit, who allows God to be the commander of her own spirit and knows how to effectively apply God's character in her life and as she interact with others. A virtuous woman is a woman of resolution, who having exposed good principles, is firm and steady to them, and will not be frightened with winds and clouds from any part of her duty.

Who can find a virtuous woman? This intimates, that good women are very scarce, and many of them that seem to be so, do not prove so. For this reason he that desires to marry should seek diligently in all his inquiries, and to take heed that he is not taken by beauty, wealth, dressing, or dancing well. For all of theses characteristics may be there, and yet the woman may not be virtuous. There are many women truly virtuous who are not recommended by these advantages.

So we have an ideal picture painted for us in the last chapter of the book of Proverbs of a virtuous woman. What a great thing it would be if we could have a portrait which would unite; the fascination of Delilah, the decision of Ruth, the beauty of Rachel, and the ambition of Rebekah, the faith of Rahab, the eloquence of Abigail, the efficiency of Martha, and the meditation of Mary.

For I really believe that a virtuous woman is a female belonging to God, proceeding from pasts situations, with moral excellence, good quality, and power to produce effects. God knows that there is a Sarah, a Rahab, or even a woman at the well, a Ruth or even a Mary in all of us. Hidden inside of us is a great woman who can do great exploits in His name.

So for the women that have been through; traumas, tragedies, and disappointments; and for the single parent, the battered wife, the abused girl and the insecure woman, who found the cure for the crisis and did not give up........I say you are a Virtuous Woman.

Please hear these words, we can not afford to let this race die out, Women of God, unite with us accept the call, join the race to become Women of Virtue
